So Little Time
...No, not the Olsen twins flop...
Chloe left ACBA on Friday. After a whirlwind week of super-condensed lessons and training, I'm taking over a sizable chunk of her responsibilities. This week I'm on my own. I was so nervous Monday morning when I walked in to find stacks of work on my desk, a thousand e-mails in my inbox, training books to read, calendars, schedules, and meetings I didn't know anything about, and so on and so on. To top it off, Chloe's supervisor, Regina, is on vacation this week, so I don't have that safety net.
But I'm working through things one at a time, getting a lot done, and learning as I go. With such supportive and patient coworkers, I'm sure I'll be fine. The best thing is that I actually feel like I'm doing something worthwhile. All summer, I have felt bored and under-utilized, but now I feel like my position at the College is important. I feel productive and competent. I don't dread going to work everyday! So, though I've come home everyday completely wiped out, I'm loving all the changes that are going on, and looking forward to my new responsibilities.

Hey Heather, It's your friend Tray from G'ville. I'm glad to see that you're enjoying your job. I now have 3 friends who live in the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston area. You'll have to let me know when you have some free time and I'll stop by.
