10 songs...

...I associate with happy memories:

1. "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers; riding with Mommy, Christine, and Stephanie to visit Granny and Grandpa in WV. Riding through those beautiful mountains, we must have listened to it 20 times!

2. "Break Down the Door" by Barry Manilow; cheesy, I know, but growing up we would often put on Barry Manilow albums and do Saturday chores. I can't remember a time before I knew those songs.

3. "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor; the unspoken theme song of my senior trip to the Outer Banks with BCBC.

4. "Lady" by Lenny Kravitz; came out when my mom was so sick. Christine and I found much needed release in turning it up as loud as we could and dancing like we were in a Gap ad.

5. "Let's Fall in Love" by Diana Krall; fall 2005 - Starbucks, Campbell's Covered Bridge, the Wine Cafe, trips to Asheville, and indeed, falling in love.

6. "All For You" by Sister Hazel; Socastee High School and some of the dearest girlfriends I've ever known.

7. "Once in Royal David's City," traditional hymn; the processional for the Festival of Lessons and Carols at Converse College, one of my all-time favorite occasions and the best way to begin the Christmas season.

8. "Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai; Singing with Staci - enough said.

9. "As I Lay Me Down To Sleep" by Sophie B. Hawkins; I went through a sunflower stage in 7th grade. I wore a sunflower barrette all the time, preferably with my long, flowy sunflower dress. And I had the sweetest friend, Daniel.

10. "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane; senior year at Converse with Julie, Trish, and Joey.

Its hard to say what it is I see in you
Wonder if I'll always be with you
Words can't say, I can't do
Enough to prove it's all for you

I miss you. Sorry if you're still hurt by my slightly harsh over-concern for you of last summer. I pray that the Lord is working on you as much as He is working on me.
