Monday

Today is a better Monday than most, considering that I am only working from 9:00 until 1:30. Then I get to enjoy lunch at PC Coffee with Christine and Brad. After that, I'll be off for an eye exam and new glasses, which I've needed for a long time, but haven't had insurance to help cover. I've read that people with round faces tend to look best (and slimmer) in more angular frames. It makes sense, though I've shyed away from such styles in the past. I like these Dolce & Gabbana frames, especially the pink pair, but it's hard to tell without seeing them on.

The weekend was as wonderful as expected. The Flowertown Festival was great - I got a necklace that is really beautiful (and a little bit funky), made with beads of jade, quartz, and Swarovski crystals. Also, you all know that I can't go somewhere funnel cakes are sold and not have one. It was de-lish! Yesterday, after church and a nap, I went downtown to enjoy the sunny weather and have some me-time. It was lovely. I think I could use some more of that.

Daddy takes his final test tomorrow, after which he'll be a certified pilot! I'm so proud of him! And looking forward to flying with him! He said maybe we can all fly somewhere for my birthday dinner on Saturday. How cool is that?!
