Loooooong Weekend...
Ahhh. I feel so refreshed. This weekend seemed so much longer than three days, which is a pretty sweet feeling.
I got off work at 2:30 on Friday. Then Daddy and I flew up to Sanford to spend Saturday with Mommy and Christine. It was so cool to just jump in a plane and jaunt up there! And it was wonderful to see my sister. I miss her like crazy. Sunday morning was church. Then I spent the day being lazy 'round the house. Sunday evening, Daddy and I went to a jazz vespers service that was part of Piccolo Spoleto. It was really enjoyable, despite the worsening migraine I had ('twas gone by morning, thankfully).
Monday, Amber came over for brunch. I made a spring mix salad with snow peas, strawberries, bean sprouts, and blush wine vinaigrette. We also had cantaloupe, butter and herb angel hair pasta, and grilled portobello mushrooms topped with soft garlic herb cheese and bean sprouts and served with grilled snow peas. It was so good (and I was just a little bit proud of my cooking and the lovely presentation)! We sat out on the porch and enjoyed the breeze. After that we took off for the beach. We spent four glorious hours in the sun, talking, napping, reading, wading, eating cookies...I really can't think of anything I'd have rather been doing! I went out with Amber and her roommate Ginger to Moe's for supper, then we went back to their place and watched The Holiday, which was much cuter than I expected.
I woke up this morning feeling relaxed and ready for the (short) workweek. Woohoo!
Plus, only four days until Staci comes to visit (with her totally cute new bathing suit)! Eee!
