Sigh...

What a morning. My first full week back to work since my vacation - I hit snooze for 45 minutes. Woke up crying over a silly text message. Found that Bonnie had thrown up all over the place last night (and I'm so paranoid about her dying that I freak out anytime she's sick). Had to say goodbye to my sister (and favorite companion) for the summer. Waited way too long at Sonic for mere french toast sticks. Spilled Diet (yuck) Dr. Pepper on my white shirt.

But I feel better now. Got most of the stain off my shirt. Put on some soothing music in the car (Susan Tedeschi) and calmed down. Got to work at a reasonable time (a rare feat for a Monday) and had a nice chat with Staci. Don't have much to do at work but have ideas for a few self-initiated projects.

In other news...
My parents have returned from their two-week trip out west. I'm so glad to have them around. We had a lovely and relaxing Mother's Day.

I learned of an art center downtown which offers reasonably priced classes and public printing and darkroom facilities. On Sundays through July, you can pay $12 to use their models for figure drawings. I loved working from models in college, so I'm really looking forward to taking advantage of that opportunity.

It seems as though Staci might come to visit this weekend.

This Sunday is Buster Brown's 25th Anniversary Celebration. He is our pastor at ECBC and is an incredible preacher. I've really enjoyed him in the short time I've attended. The choir is singing some special anthems in his honor and we'll have a church-wide dessert fellowship in the evening. Woohoo!
