...and an uneven tan.
My arms are still not the same color (an unfortunate side effect of a splinted hand). In fact, I think that as I've gotten more sun, the disparity is even more noticeable. It doesn't help that my left arm already gets more sun while I'm driving. Grr.
Speaking of hand injuries...
Yesterday I got my pinkie stuck in my car door! It was so scary!
I was reaching for something atop my car with my right hand as I locked and closed the door with my left hand, and my right pinkie got caught in the corner. I couldn't pull it out and the door was locked so I couldn't open it! It hurt so much! So I frantically dug through my purse with my free hand and finally found my keys and released my poor hand. I went straight into the restaurant and asked for some ice. It really didn't swell much and so far there's no bruise, though it is a little tender this morning.
I was immediately grateful for three things:
1. That my keys had been within my reach. I would have had to just scream for help otherwise!
2. That I didn't re-injure my hand where I had broken it before. It would have been so easy for me to have gotten that part of my hand stuck in the door instead of my pinkie. Whew.
3. That I didn't break another bone in my right hand. How embarrassing would that have been?! People would think I was a total klutz.

Your lists of ten have inspired my most recent post (in other words-- I updated).
ALRIGHT!
So how come we have to read about stuff like this on your blog? You didn't mention anything about this in your phone conversations with us this week.
Well, thankfully it wasn't a big deal. I guess I just forgot to mention it on the phone. I was more interested in hearing about your trip!
